Instagram Contests & Giveaways
The ocean covers 71% of the earth’s surface so it’s only fitting we have not one, but TWO Instagram hashtags you can use to inspire and challenge others. We can’t do everything, but we can all do something to help our ocean rebound in the face of many pressures. So start by encouraging others to admire wildlife from afar and be kind to oceankind.
Not only will you inspire and challenge others, but you’ll also gain an entry to win $50 Visa gift cards.
Inspire others by sharing your photos and videos on Instagram with our hashtags, #KindToOceankind and/or #AmazingFromAfar.
Don’t share location specifics with your photos or videos. Instead, tag @AmazingFromAfar in your caption and ask others to learn more first and pledge to be Kind to Oceankind to earn the same privilege you did.
If you keep your Instagram profile set to private, you can direct message your photo to us @amazingfromafar. We’d love your permission to share them in our Instagram stories, so be sure to let us know if that’s okay with you.

Get creative with poses or photos showcasing how you can still get great photos while following the setback distances from protected species that are still #AmazingFromAfar. The best photos will be selected for a contest with a Visa cash gift card prize of $50.
#KindToOceankind
What ways are you Kind to Oceankind? Encourage others to join the pod of those #KindToOceankind by sharing a photo to portray something interesting, important, or even funny to know about the ocean or marine life that makes you feel proud to be someone who is #KindToOceankind.
Official Rules
Two winners will be randomly chosen from the contest entries.
To enter the contest:
Follow @AmazingFromAfar on Instagram.
Post pictures using the hashtags #AmazingFromAfar and/or #KindtoOceankind in your caption.
Tag @AmazingFromAfar in your photo or caption.
Vote on your favorite!
We will select our four favorite entries on Instagram and post them to our Instagram page. In the comments, vote on your favorite picture to decide who wins!
Voting will be open from January 16th-22nd.
Winners will be selected by Jan. 31.
Winners will be notified via direct message.

All ages can participate. Winners must be 18 years or older to collect prize or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian if under 18. By using the hashtags #AmazingFromAfar and #KindtoOceankind, users are providing consent for the images to be reposted by the account @amazingfromafar on Instagram.
